World Talent Show

inDrive is a global IT and transport platform. This year the company team celebrated its 10th anniversary and to mark the occasion inDrive held a celebration in a show style in all the countries where the company has offices. We wanted to make this anniversary unforgettable by organizing a big world tour with a unique theme.

Challenge

Organizing an open-air summer event for 1,100 employees while bringing out their unique individualities – encompassing diverse personalities, interests, and skills – presents quite an ambitious endeavor. However, what proved even more audacious was the task of replicating this event across the company’s global offices, with Almaty assuming the pivotal role as the central hub for all organizational aspects – from conceptualization and briefing to design and checklist creation. Our challenge encompassed executing the client’s proposed event concept, commemorating the company’s 10th anniversary in a vibrant manner across the globe, uniting branches of all countries, securing a suitable venue, arranging stages and photo zones, creating hobby club spaces, and organize a performance by a popular music band…

Approach

In Almaty, we organized a world show in video format and live performances with the participation of the company’s employees, where everyone could showcase their talents. A month before the event, artists from the Almaty office rehearsed their acts under the guidance of professionals. The creative director helped the participants with the staging of each number: giving recommendations for the performance, inviting musicians and dancers for the soloists, developing the concept of the performance and the background design of the stage. The show was opened by the performance of a special guest – the band Irina Kairatovna. Then the artists of the company started their performances on the stage.

The programme of the show was adapted to the foreign branches of the company. Communication was conducted in several languages, and scripts and content were created accordingly. Each point of the script was accompanied by a video clip, which was broadcast synchronously on screens in different countries. At the end of the project, we created a 51-minute EuroVision-style video with performances by inDrive artists from different countries. At the end of the day, all countries sang the company anthem, which had been written especially for the event, further strengthening employee unity. At the client’s request, we set up zones for the company’s interest clubs: TED Talk-style lectures, board games, beauty zone, chill-out zone, sports and children’s playground with animators, cinema zone with short films. The following installations were installed: an art object with a photo zone reflecting the company’s departments, a photo zone with a hippie minivan, a press wall with the company’s history, etc.

Results

Thanks to the joint work of our team, the client, the inDrive artists, the motivation and responsibility of each participant, the event became a truly legendary show. The artists have come a long way and successfully performed in front of their colleagues, gaining a unique experience and inspiring their entire environment. The organisation of the event was of such a high standard that, despite the nervousness, the artists were able to get a boost of energy and have as much fun as all the other guests. The event gave the inDrive team the opportunity to see their colleagues as talented individuals and united employees from different countries, immersing them in the atmosphere of the world show.
