inDrive company entrusted us to organize a large-scale corporate event. The inDrive team regularly hosts Funday events, and this time they decided to celebrate a significant occasion: the launch of their business in the United States, specifically in Miami.
Challenge
We were faced with an ambitious task: to organize an original event for 500 people within three weeks, offering engaging activities for all participants. Moreover, this had to be done not on a venue for such events but on two floors of its office.
Furthermore, the Funday concept had to align with the client’s Key Visual and revolve around the main theme of the event: the opening of the company’s branch in North America. This project posed a real challenge to us, and we enthusiastically embarked on its execution.
Approach
When developing the event script, we emphasized a consistent theme: the American vibe from the 1980s to the present day. This allowed us to integrate all event components, from the official part to catering, into a unified concept.
When decorating the venue, we paid special attention to two unique areas. The first featured a large dry pool that required 16,000 plastic balls to fill! In the second area, we created an installation in the shape of the U.S. flag, made entirely of delicious donuts. Decorating this area took more than 400 donuts, which were later enjoyed by the participants.
Within inDrive’s office on two floors, we recreated a typical American atmosphere. We set up arcade machines with games from the past, connected PlayStation consoles, and even found a Dendy system with a vintage TV. Additionally, attendees could play classic foosball, air hockey, or sing karaoke. We also organized a quest inspired by the video game GTA Vice City, which is set in a fictional city reminiscent of Miami.
Another task was preparing a charity auction, which ended the official part of the event. We created five branded items that were sold at the auction, such as a Wilson basketball and a stylish bomber jacket.
Results
The event demonstrated how attention to detail, a creative approach, and collaborative work with the client lead to a successful outcome. All event activities were well-received by the participants, ensuring that the energy and excitement generated by inDrive’s team would last for a long time.
Furthermore, simultaneously with the main event in Almaty, we organized a similar event in the company’s office in Astana. This allowed over 30 inDrive employees to be part of the overall Funday celebration.
